Rollback a Driver to the Previous Version in Windows Vista

When you install an updated driver software to the Windows Vista computer and it causes system problems and lead to a system crash, you can rollback the driver which causes issues to its previous version that is compatible with the system.The steps to rollback the driver to previous version in Windows Vista is given:
  • Go to Windows Vista Start
  • Select Control Panel from the stat menu
  • Select System and Maintenance option or click on the classic view option.
  • Select Device Manager (you may receive a UAC prompt for password information at this point)
  • Expand the category containing the device in question by double clicking the category.
  • Double click the device that contains the driver that you would like to rollback.
  • Select the Driver tab
  • Select Roll Back Driver
Note that in order to roll back driver to it's previous state in Windows Vista,you must be logged in as the Administrator.Also,if the Roll Back Driver button is not available, this means that there is no previous version for this device in Windows Vista.
